This is how I felt. When I was addicted. I was addicted to lust . You may very well be a drug addict. You may be a sex addict. You may be an alcoholic . This might be how YOU f eel. But regardless we were slaves to a cruel and evil master. OURSELVES . No one made me take that look, noone made you shoot up, noone made you take that drink, NOONE! We create ourselves. James 1:12-14 (New International Version) 12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. 13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. That all being said. We create ourselves, we choose our own battles. We also choose our own destiny. Most of the time though God is the only one that can bail us out. Allow me to complete the passage of scripture I opened with. Psalm 107:10-16 (New International Version) 10 Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, 11 for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High. 12 So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. 13 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains. 15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, 16 for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron. I ugre you brothers and sisters, to call upon God NOW . If that describes what you feel then why wait? What on Earth is there to lose? Call out to God fully, redevote yourselves fully, end this pain you feel fully. You can't be half way with it, you must dedicate yourself to the Lord your liberator.Pray to God for a renewed fire and hunger, wake up everyday with prayers for guidance, ask God for whatever you must do to be free. But I can tell you he is a Just God, A merciful God , a loving God. Please don't wait any longer. Peace and Love
