My name is Brenda I 45yrs old, married to a wonderful man named Jim with two grown children, Deloy and Christina. I had a gastric bypass back in 2002 to loose weight, I have lost right at 200lbs, the day I went into surgery I weighed 369lbs, I was miserable and had lost most hope of living a normal life. God not only lead me to make the right decision and have this surgery but he also held me in his arms while I was in ICU on a respirator for 10 days after due to a few complications, I had to have a trech but in due to small air wave passages and went home with it in, God sent me a husband that would stay up nights and days to suction out my trach when it would become clogged up, once the trach came out I got a staff infection in my drain sites, I was in the hospital 10 more days, my husband never left my side, after going home I had to be packed twice a day for months after that, my husband was my nurse as he packed my incision and kept it clean and dry from Feb 2002, until June 2002. My life is now so filled with living and enjoying everyday, not only did he bring me through all the complications but he has brought me family members that I had lost contact with for a few years, my life is very fullfilled now with love, care, and God's Grace.
