Wow. This has been an interesting day. And, since I'd rather tell you about it than work... here goes!
Connies Morning as told by Connie herself
I pulled my sleepy body out of bed (at my mothers command) and went upstairs to enjoy a nice (lol) dose of early morning literature. Then a slightly freaky looking Erica (my sis and roomate) assended into the once quiet room complaining that there was a bird in her window-well (a detail I had missed in my sleepy stupor).
the window well, upon inspection by mother, did not in fact just contain any bird. It had a DUCK in it (I kid you not). We stuck a sock over its head (now it looked like one of the terrorist detainees you see on the news) and proceeded to put it in a box but by now we had a crowd of our own family jumping around and hollering "I wanna see it!". We got the poor socked duck into a box despite the crowd and from there life continued normally except for an occasionall shaking of the box in the entry.
Now a new problem faced us... What are we suposed to to w/ a duck? after a brief thought of eating it (which made all of us scream) My mom decided to take it down to a nearby pond. The duck, now christened Stanley, was more than overjoyed with the pond near our local golf course where he seemed to really hit it off w/ all the other ducks (we think). Nobody cried as he swam away but I'm sure Stanley will always be thought of as the absolute best way of getting Erica out of bed in a hurry!
And here ends the extrordinary tale of my morning. LoL. it was weird!! Also we do have on thought haunting us (but I wont wright it here, you'll have to look at the * at the end to find out, because I'm afraid it may be true). And I did find out that it's not just the Nixons who seem to have Bizzar duck problems.
Anyway I'd better get some work Done. ttyl.
