In all of our lives there is a point when God unslefishly shows his mercy. But when he gives to someone who we feel don't deserves it, then our feelings are hurt and we become mad at God. Jonah was the same way. God showed him mercy and allowed him to continue the mission to the Ninevites. When Jonah gave the word the people turned to God. Now if this happened to me on a simple missions trip then I would praise the Lord for his work. Jonah had the mindset that God was going to destrot them anyway. But because they changed, God spared them and Jonah pouted. God had to teach him a lesson. So the next time that you get jealous because God is good remember that he shows you the same goodness in your time of trouble.
