Just a little while ago I opened an email from sister Lori, and it was a daily devotional that she has been sending me. It was about the Christmas time and God's peace. As I read it, I was moved emotionally and my heart was touched.
You all know that during this time of year we all get so busy with preparations, buying, decorating, cooking and so much more. It just never seems that there is enough time in the day and we run around crazy trying to get it all done. I think a lot of people who go through these same motions don't stop for a moment and seek God and rest in him. We get so caught up in the worldly human aspect of what this Holiday is all about. That separates us from the true meaning of the Christmas holiday.
Lets take the time every day to slow down long enough, take that quiet moment, sit and reflect on God. DO whatever it is that you do in that quiet time, whether it's picking up your bible, praying, singing a song, just stop and do it. Lets reflect on his perfect, acceptable will. Lets allow ourselves to take a deep breath and let God's peace flow through us. There's nothing like feeling God's peace through your body. Feel that peace within yourself and just enjoy it and when you come out of that quiet place I know and believe you won't be moving so quickly to get it all done, cause God's peace is going to flow through you all and there will be no worries or deadlines.
This is a special time of year, lets not forget what it is all about. There was a glorious miracle of a birth thousands of years ago that set the world a blaze and our SAVIOR Jesus Christ was among the living. Praise to GOD in the most high, glory to our Savior Jesus for without his birth we would not be able to know PEACE!!!
