Raining Love
Raining Love

One morning a beautiful teenager
rose from her bed to seize the day
she was a strong Christian
who always tried to obey

She walked around with a smile on her face
everything was swell and all in place
walking down the street
not a stanger passed her by

Days passed her by
things started slipping from her grasp
emptiness filled her life
she didn't know where to turn

Walking down the street
puddles were formed beneath her feet
not a face did she know
and she ran on home

Locking herself in her room
"Why are you letting this happen to me" she cried
never an answer did she hear

Wounded and bruised she blamed everyone else
slowly she began turning from God
her mind set on the things of this world
and handled life on her own

Her friends saying good-bye
her boyfriend leaving without a reason why
throwing herself on her bed
clinching a pillow screaming at the top of her lungs

"How could you let this happen to me!?
Your not even there for a second!
All my friends left me!
My boyfriend dumped me last night!
I have nothing left!"

She heard a voice from above
so bold but precious as a dove

"Your right.
I wasn't there for a second.
All your friends did leave you.
Your boyfriend did break up with you
And you do have nothing left."

A puzzled look filled her face
she went walking down the street
it pouring rain seeming never to cease
and not a person went by
as she held herself and cried

She felt so lonely and afraid
that she couldn't take it anymore
realizing she needed God more than ever right now

She fell to her knees
surrendering altogether her life to Him

He spoke:

"I wasn't there for a second, because I was there the whole time.
All your friends did leave you, but I was the one that never forsaked you.
Your boyfriend did leave you, but I have a greater man planned for you.
You do have nothing, because without me, you are nothing."

His arms were wide open
and she ran into them
for him to hold her
and never let go

He whispered gently into her ear

"It's okay, Daddy's here.
I will never let you go be assured of that.
I LOVE YOU!"

whenever it starts raining in your life
and you feel like you have no where to go
always remember your Father in Heaven
is waiting with open arms
to hug you tight and so
and loves you more than you will ever know
