Hey everyone, I know it's been forever since I've actually written a blog, but miracles still happen, and here I am!
I've been crazy busy latley, with work, school, church, friends, music, and who could forget, snowboarding. I recently am truing to learn to ride w/ a hard boot on a carving board (so if anyone knows anythig about it, give me a buzz) Also I've been, w/ the help of some friends, helping to organize activities for other homeschool kids, it's really fun to interact w/ so many kids ranging from 4-14, that's been an expperience! lol.
My spring break plans consisting of going to see my Grandma in WY, who through macular degeneration and glucoma is slowly loosing her eyesight, it's been a challenging and scary time for everyone. Nobody is sure if this is the last time she will be able to SEE her grandchildren. So that's a matter we've been keeping in prayer.
Last week was the last homeschool ski day of this season, abd as a well known ski-bum I of course went up. The snow was incredible (knee high powder at the peak) and we had aroud 150 peoples up there in our group.bIt was an awsome day of boarding, I had tons of fun w/ everyone and even learned (or at least tried) kartwheels on a board, try it sometime and let me know how yoiu faired. The funnest thing though was when one friend taught us the "penguin slide" which I'm pretty sure had to of been disgovered by accident. You find a steep hill, the speeper the better, and at the top everyone gets on their stomachs, tucks their boards behind their heads, and lets er rip. You then control your speed and steer by adjusting your board against the wind. It was fun. afterwords about 45 ppl came over to our house (we live near the resort) and had chili, more soda than should be allowed, and a good snowball fight on out socks. overall it was really awsome!!
Now the weather is more springish, and I think I'm going to go outside now that I'm really rambling and such. I'll try and be on here slightly more often, and dont take it persoally that it takes me a moth or more to reply to your comments/messages. lol.
ttyl,
Connie
