Why is it that whenever Christmas comes around, no one pays attention to the true meaning? Most people run around stores trying to buy gifts. Is that all they think about?? I love Christmas b/c i get to spend time with my family. i get to see my cousins, aunts, and uncles. and food. i love the food. But to some people, they teach their children that christmas is worthy b/c you recieve presents. Now do not get me wrong, I have a nine-y/o brother. I love to watch him open presents with his big smile across his face. But i also love helpin decorate the house with Baby Jesus scenes. Am I the only one who feels this way. Maybe I have a diff. veiw b/c i am only 13. I aint got kids yet. But i think modern civilization is pulling us away from the true mening of Christmas.

You know i feel the same way this year. I really don't want anything this year but just to be closer with my king (God). I thought I was the only one that felt this way.

Principles First, Then Prosperity!

I think you are so right in this and it is unusual for me to feel this way. God has really been working on my also on this. I think that for some reason this Christmas season He is working on all of His people to bring the true meaning of Christmas back. I felt really guilty the other day because I had not done the "shop till I drop" thing. But the Lord showed me through His word that it is all about the lost and dying around me that I should be worried about. I have put my effort this year in that. I have taken my energy normally spent on my family and taken it to those that don't have anything. I think The Lord is trying to show us all that as a Body we should all be greatful for the small stuff, such as family, but not to forget those around us, such as the widows and orphans that don't have. In our community (which is very small) we have had three teenagers who have committed suicide this last three months. God has led me to turn my heart to them. I can't even imagine what it much be like for those parents. My daughter, who was friends with all three, has been my inspiration to try and comfort those families. Her heart is so large. I Praise God that He has put that in her to show me how to show love beyond measure.

Blessings to all this Christmas and truly Jesus is the reason for the season. There is no other like Him.
