I see we have some members here who are married and by their pictures look extremely happy. What do you feel are the keys to a successful marriage and how does jesus affect your marriage?

Thanks

Bottom line...do exactly what the bible tells you to do in a marrage. Look it up study it and live by it. Sounds simple Marrige is not easy, but i sure luv it. Having kids pretty much is amazing

The key to a happy marriage I think is God gave this wounderful person to you in sanctity of Marriage and then gave you fruit from that marriage ( Your kids) and The key is...... GOD DID IT! what is there to not be happy about! But marriage is work, Give and Take, humbling yourself as a wife to follow your husband and pray for him to follow God's path each day. The man is the leader of the household so hopefully he's following god so that your family will be too. I LOVE MY HUBBY AND MY KIDS! Thank you God.

Our 10th anniversary is in October. =) Here are the top 10 things I have learned in 10 years:
1. God First no matter what.
2. Patience
3. Don't try to change him, just pray. God will take care of it - REALLY!!
4. Have a good sense of humor and don't be too proud to laugh at yourself.
5. That pride thing just needs to go out the window anyway.
6. Find activities that you are both interested in, but have a few things you can do on your own. (Ministry opportunities at your church are a great place to start.)
7. When you have kids, make sure you are both on the same side - united in everything. (which is really good even when you don't have kids!)
8. My role model is the woman in Proverbs 31. Look there for great guidance
9. The man is the head of the household. He gets the last word, even if you don't agree with it. This was hard for me to learn. =) But it really works well when you let God handle your husband instead of trying to do it yourself (see #3)
10. Love, love, more love.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Hope this was helpful!

God Bless You!!

1 Cor. 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

i have only been married a little while but my marriage is very stressful with the combo of being young and my husband being in the military but i keep strong in God and pray when we fight and if we are mad i sit down and we talk but every marriage is going to have its problems but if you stay strong and pray every thing will work out
