I play guitar and have written songs.

I like movies that make me laugh, are inspirational, and that contain teachable moments.

Pretty much anything that edifies God and His people. Not too fond of the country flavor. I like Christian R&B, hip hop, rock, and alternative.

Over the years I have read many books. Some of my favorite authors include Max Lucado, Oswald Chambers, A.W. Tozer, Watchman Nee, and Josh McDowell. I'm not too hip on fiction. I prefer books and authors that are devotional or that offer life application.

My name is Joe Martinez. I am a former youth pastor of 20+ years and I currently reside in Casa Grande, AZ. I attend Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church of God where I served as youth pastor for 11 years. I am currently not involved in full time ministry but I'm working toward retooling the men's ministry of our church. Although I no longer hold an official position working with youth, I find that the Lord continues to send young people to my wife and I. This is an obvious blessing. I recently began writing blogs to teach and reach people of all ages for the Lord. My passion is teaching and discipleship. There's so much more to say but I suppose this will do for now.
