It was really cool today. I went around the town and ran into the two mormons i had talked to a couple of weeks ago. I gave them a copy of an article of Joseph Smith's false prophecies. they didnt like that, forsome reason. apparently he didnt really make those outlandish claims that didnt come true. there church told them so. We witnessed to, many today. it was cool. i really felt emboldened again. tony and i really work well together. he just gets in there and creates conversations with loads of kids. we gave out hundreds of tracts. pray for tony, i gave him loads of info on how to witness biblically. God is really changing his approach. he will be a powerul vessel for God. many of the kids are open to listen. I got through the law and tried to create a christian worldview. They know very little, and i think it is important to teach them. I obviously try not to cast my pearls before swine. the law and addressing the conscience is essential in this. Starting in the natural and swinging to the spiritual is also critical. Allan and Tony open air preached again. Tony is really looking for direction in this. i am trying to help, but please pray for them. Allan was again attacked as he preached. The guy was scarred of by Tony and my physique or it was his girlfriend dragging him off, maybe that was it. He has a way with hecklers. God bless you all. Thankyou for your prayers. May God save them for his glory. just sowing the seed, the way Jesus did, so that he would be glorified. Martin
It was dry and warm today, which is always a blessing. Part of Shrewsbury were flooded so there was less to go around. I didn't meet any mormans today, but i did witness to athiests and satanists. After i had gone around the town i met up with Allan, Tony and Andy, who joined us today. It was a joy to see them. God has been moving mightily in our lives and has brought Allan, Tony and myself together to Shrewsbury to form a evangelism team. They are very open to the law in evangelism and encourage my imput in there preaching. Which is a huge blessing when you think they are in there forties and fifties and have preached on the streets for decades. I am in my twenties and have been street fishing for less than two years. God is good. Tony has mentioned to me that God told him to listen to me, that i will teach him how to preach the full gospel properly. He has preached, as i said for years. I have not yet open air preached. This is humility on his part, praise God that God has answered my prayers for labourers. Please pray for this team. They are not perfect, we are not perfect, but we are learning all the time. We were joined by Andy today, a ex soldier. He is more reserved and tends towards the modern gospel more. But i have had a chance to reason with him today and gave him "Hells best kept secret". I pray God will transform him through this teaching. The atmosphere has been one of tension the last couple of weeks. I was heckled by the young kids that hit Allan last week while i was walking around the town. They seem quite friendly with me at the moment, maybe it is because i am nearer there age. We went straight for it today. we started handing out tracts and Tony started talking to gangs of young people. He has the ability to get the kids talking. They usually start asking for an intelligence test. and then i am into the conversation. I spoke to athiests, satanists, and alot in between today. They were silenced under the law. They had alot of questions and i answered them with God's help. It is true that the holy Spirit brings to mind the information you need to know as you witness. I have learned it, and he pops it into my mind. Praise God! The satanists had t shirts attacking God. They knew alot of the truth, and shock horror they had a "christian background". they knew the gospel, and knew where i was going. I put the law on them and they ended the converstion after a while. They were definetely convicted. they reveled in the idea of going to hell, but did show some concern when they saw there sin and the reality of hell. I spoke to three young girls. they are hard to witness to because they are so young, but they get it when it is explained in detail. We spoke to loads today. i made a good contact with a pastor from a church in shrewsbury. he is organising an event for those that witness. they go, get encouraged and share there experiences to other christians. He was blown away by the full gospel. He saw God not me. people are used to the weakness of the modern gospel. I had a conversation with an interlectual. He put God on trial. I answered his questions, they got quite deep. It is easier when you know you can go back forwards from the interlect to the conscience. Allan and Tony open air preached again. The kids thought about attacking but were put off my a community support officer. It was biblical and powerful. I also had a question and answer session with four or five young lads. they held nothing back. God gets all the glory, he gave me all the answers. He empowered me to witness. People do not believe i am shy when they see me on the streets, because God takes over and he is as bold as a lion. I am terrified in myself. wow, what a God we serve. I see that he must take over, i must decrease, he must increase. What power there is in the true gospel. please pray for direction for the team and for the salvation of the people. But most of all for God to be glorified. God bless you all a mere vessel, martin
The Law, then grace. The Law is the guide to what is right and wrong in moral behaviour. God gave the law so that people would have a guide to live by a standard by which they might recognise God's purity and their sinfulness. There are 613 commandments in th OT. they are to oversee moral, judicial, and religious behaviour. Lets open up the law to see what God is like: 1. "You Shall have no other God's before me". God is to be the focal point of man's attention at all times. We are to worship him with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength. Anything less is sin. The bible says no one has kept this commandment. 2 "You shall not make yourself any graven images". Do not bow down to anything but God. Anything or any one you put before God is an idol. you are committing idolatry. idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of Heaven. You may worship a Jesus that suits your own desires. your God overlooks your sin, your lack of fruit. He would never condemn people, and send them to hell, just say "my God's a God of love, he won't condemn" Those that say these things are right. there God will not condemn. He cant' , he doesn't exist, he is a figment of there imagination. they have created a God in there image to suit there sins, it is the oldest sin in the book. 3."You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain" professing to be a christian, yet denying him by your life breaks this commandment. have you ever heard people say things like, "oh my g-d". this is blasphemy. God will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name, 4. "Remember the sabbath day to keep it Holy". Have you always loved the things of God. 5. "Honour your Father and Mother". this brings long life. rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft to God. In the OT those that disobeyed and hated there parients were seen as deserving death. this should make us all fear God, who hasn't broken this. 6. "You shall not kill". if you are angry without good cause you are in danger of the judgement. and if you hate your brother you are a murderer before God. 7. "You shall not commit adultery." Jesus said that if you even look at someone with lust you are a adulterer of the heart. 8. "You shall not steal". if you have ever stolen anything in your life, you are a thief before God. 9. "You shall not lie". all liars shall have there place in the lake of fire. a fearful statement by God. satan is the father of lies. 10. "You shall not covet". have you ever desired what others have and been ungrateful for what you already have received from the Lord. who has not broken this. James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole of the law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. Romans 7:7 I had not known sin, but by the law... Galatians 3:24 wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. This is how God sees us. we share our thought life with him. He is absolutely Holy, righteous, and just. He will punish sin wherever it is found. He would be a corupt judge if he did not. God demands absolute perfection in thought, word, and deed, or else. the soul that sins it shall die. we broke the law, the wrath of God was rightly upon us. he was angry at us for our sin. we could do nothing to help ourselves. God himself stepped into the court room and paid our fine for us. he was bruised for our transgressions. He took the punishment for our sins. he kept the law perfectly in our place. make sure you have mourned for your true biblical sin. sin is breaking the law. that you have truly mourned for your sin, apologised to God, turned from your sin against God, and out your faith in christ alone, his life, death, and resurrection. without repentance and faith in christ we are lost. we must be born again, can you see that you are born again by the fruit of your life. the fruit of repentance, holiness, righteousness, the holy spirit. if not you maybe a false convert. make your election and calling sure..www.wayofhemaster.com God bless you all. Go serve your King. Martin
Personal Witnessingâ€"How Jesus Did It. By Ray Comfort. How to address the sinner’s conscience and speak with someone who doesn’t believe in hell John chapter 4, verses 7â€"26 give us the Master’s example of how to share our faith. Notice that Jesus spoke to the woman at the well when she was alone. We will often find that people are more open and honest when they are alone. So, if possible, pick a person who is sitting by himself. From there, we can see four clear principles to follow: First: Jesus began in the natural realm (v. 7). This woman was unregenerate, and the Bible tells us "the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God" (1 Corinthians 2:14). He therefore spoke of something she could relate toâ€"water. Most of us can strike up a conversation with a stranger in the natural realm. It may be a friendly "How are you doing?" or a warm "Good morning!" If the person responds with a sense of warmth, we may then ask, "Do you live around here?" and from there develop a conversation. Second: Jesus swung the conversation to the spiritual realm (v. 10). He simply mentioned the things of God. This will take courage. We may say something like, "Did you go to church on Sunday?" or "Did you see that Christian TV program last week?" If the person responds positively, the question "Do you have a Christian background?" will probe his background. He may answer, "I went to church when I was a child, but I drifted away from it." Another simple way to swing to the spiritual is to offer the person a gospel tract and ask, "Did you get one of these?" When he takes it, simply say, "It’s a gospel tract. Do you come from a Christian background?" Third: Jesus brought conviction using the Law of God (vv. 16â€"18). Jesus gently spoke to her conscience by alluding to the fact that she had transgressed the Seventh of the Ten Commandments. He used the Law to bring "the knowledge of sin" (see Romans 3:19,20). We can do the same by asking, "Do you think that you have kept the Ten Commandments?" Most people think they have, so quickly follow with, "Have you ever told a lie?" This is confrontational, but if it’s asked in a spirit of love and gentleness, there won’t be any offense. Remember that the "work of the Law [is] written in their hearts" and that the conscience will bear "witness" (Romans 2:15). Jesus confronted the rich young ruler in Luke 18:18â€"21 with five of the Ten Commandments and there was no offense. Have confidence that the conscience will do its work and affirm the truth of each Commandment. Don’t be afraid to gently ask, "Have you ever stolen something, even if it’s small?" Learn how to open up the spirituality of the Law and show how God considers lust to be the same as adultery (Matthew 5:27,28) and hatred the same as murder (1 John 3:15). Make sure you get an admission of guilt. Ask the person, "If God judges you by the Ten Commandments on Judgment Day, do you think you will be innocent or guilty?" If he says he will be innocent, ask, "Why is that?" If he admits his guilt, ask, "Do you think you will go to heaven or hell?" From there the conversation may go one of three ways: 1. He may confidently say, "I don’t believe in hell." Gently respond, "That doesn’t matter. You still have to face God on Judgment Day whether you believe in it or not. If I step onto the freeway when a massive truck is heading for me and I say, ‘I don’t believe in trucks,’ my lack of belief isn’t going to change reality." Then tenderly tell him he has already admitted to you that he has lied, stolen, and committed adultery in his heart, and that God gave him a conscience so that he would know right from wrong. His conscience and the conviction of the Holy Spirit will do the rest. That’s why it is essential to draw out an admission of guilt before you mention Judgment Day or the existence of hell. 2. He may say that he’s guilty, but that he will go to heaven. This is usually because he thinks that God is "good," and that He will, therefore, overlook sin in his case. Point out that if a judge in a criminal case has a guilty murderer standing before him, the judge, if he is a good man, can’t just let him go. He must ensure that the guilty man is punished. If God is good, He must (by nature) punish murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, fornicators, and those who have lived in rebellion to the inner light that God has given to every man. 3. He may admit that he is guilty and therefore going to hell. Ask him if that concerns him. Speak to him about how much he values his eyes and how much more therefore he should value the salvation of his soul. (For the biblical description of hell, see Revelation 1:18 footnote.) If possible, take the person through the linked verses in this Bible, beginning at the Matthew 5:21,22 footnote. Fourth: Jesus revealed Himself to her (v. 26). Once the Law has humbled the person, he is ready for grace. Remember, the Bible says that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). The gospel is for the humble (see Luke 4:18 footnote). Only the sick need a physician, and only those who will admit that they have the disease of sin will truly embrace the cure of the gospel. Learn how to present the work of the cross â€"that God sent His Son to suffer and die in our place. Tell the sinner of the love of God in Christ; that Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death. Take him back to civil law and say, "It’s as simple as this: We broke God’s Law, and Jesus paid our fine. If you will repent and trust in the Savior, God will forgive your sins and dismiss your case." Ask him if he understands what you have told him. If he is willing to confess and forsake his sins, and trust the Savior with his eternal salvation, have him pray and ask God to forgive him. Then pray for him. Get him a Bible. Instruct him to read it daily and obey what he reads, and encourage him to get into a Bible-believing, Christ preaching church. From the "Evidence Bible" by Ray Comfort, coutesy of Bridge-logos. Hi Guys, here we see the principal of starting the conversation in the natural realm first, and then swinging to the spiritual when we see the time is right in the conversation. Truly i have found this to be true. If you go up to someone and ask "Hi can i speak to you about Jesus" expect to be rejected. Here in the UK, you are likely to be hit. But if you are friendly, warm, and relate to the person, you cannot be talking about eternal matters within minutes without offence. The fields are truly white for harvest. But like two thousand years ago the labourers are few. if you saw a child starving, and you had food, wouldn't it be your responsiblity to share what you have and save the childs life. you may say " i'm not gifted in evangelism", thats like saying i see the child starving, and i have this food, but its not my calling to help the child. thats crazy, so is letting the lost perish without sharing the gospel. God bless you as you obey the call.... martin
Yes a trilogy, for the triune God.. I got to speak to some young girls who were became very concerned they were going to hell. they heard the gospel and went off to think of all the bad things they had done. i spoke to a young lad. he was extremely open. he was quite young. but streetwise. so i preached law, then grace. he was extremely interested and looked quite shell shocked. he wanted to know exactly what he needed to do to be right with God. Tony prepared to open air. I encouraged him gently to use the law, which he wants to do now any way. He preached well i thought. he laced everything he said with scripture. he was heckled. someone chucked something at him. He preached throught the law, and many listened. some one came up to him after and said, can i have a tract, you have disturbed me, i know i am not right now. It was powerful. Allan got up and preached. he was strongly heckled immediately. His preaching was good. very centered on scripture. God is radically working on them both. A group of young people started to mock allan. A group of rough looking lads started making nazi symbols by him and almost knocking into him. God wasn't standing for that. i went up to them boldly, it was God. and rebuked them for comparing christianity to nazism. it was a miracle i wasn't hit. I got throught to them. they continued to try to mock allan as he preached. i was speaking to one of the lads, as the others had moved towards allan. while my back was turned they hit allan as he preached and knocked his bag and bible to the floor. we stopped the kids and the police were called. allan just got back up and started preaching again. the police came and the kids were told to leave. they hated him mentioning religion in this way, they were convicted. while allan preached. i was speaking to the brother of one of these kids who hit allan. he was more reasonable and open. we spoke to another lad. he seemed a bit strange to me. he was upset at allan for painting Jesus in a bad light. he went to church and was doing alright. he wanted to defend Jesus' image by rearranging Allans face for the glory fo God Huh oh those pesky preachers, they give then peaceful church members a bad name..eh.. we talked him down and he left. we stirred up a hornets nest. we preached a balanced gospel. every one we spoke to one to one actually thanked us, but it kicked off at the end. wow, i can't wait for next week. A mere vessel, all the praise to God!!!! Smiley martin
Part two I got to Allan and Tony and greeted them and started to hand out tracts. they had already been open air preaching. Tony had just received "hells best kept secret" and "true and false conversion". He was very impressed. he now sees that the gospel of repentance and faith makes no sense without the law. please pray that allan and tony would be transformed into biblical evangelists. i am trying to teach them, not that i am better, but it is god's will. they have taught me a great deal also. they are now planning to come to shrewsbury every week to preach, as it is so powerful, with the three of us together, PRAISE GOD! As i arrived they were speaking to a group of young people. without knowing i was ther tony started to take them through the law, then grace, repentance and faith in Christ, wow, praise God, 6 months ago, he preached, jesus loves you... We spoke to many young people, taking them through the law, then grace. allan and tony havbe been amazed at the responses. kids have been saying, i don't want to go to hell, what do i do? i have been praying for boldness, and i was filled with the spirit to witness to them, praise God. There is such power in the true gospel. the kids started of taking the mickey a bit but quickly stopped laughing, when i took the throught the law, and they saw they would be guilty and end up in hell. describing hell was interesting. they got more and more quiet and concerned, the wanted to know the good news.
Hi guys, thanks for your prayers. Part one. I went out to shrewsbury again today. I met up with Allan and Tony. I went around the town as usual, distributing tracts around the town. I saw a couple of mormons trying to witness to people, and just knew they would stop me. i told him i was a christian. he seemed to think he was to. I put the challenge to him. i have three minutes to live, i have a knife in my back, how do i inherit eternal life? strange really he probaly answered the question better than most confessing christians would. he mentioned about having faith in god, repentance and faith. I knew he would mean different things by thatm so i defined the terms. I then went on to say what i would say if someone had three minutes to live.. i then asked him if he was a good person, and went throuh the law. he thought himself good. he just thought that he was now good because he had repented. He got quite angry with this approach and accused me of wasting his time, he stopped me to talk undecided I then went through some doctrines, like the trinity. he denied believing that Jesus was the brother of satan, strange that. he denied that Elohim is one God of many, that there are many planets, with people on them, etc, you know the wacky book of mormon. he either was wavering on the book or mormon or he was lying to me. they are dangerous, as they believe alot of what we believe. I explained the trinity. he seemed to think that Jesus became a man in the sense of being created. he was silenced by the truth. many "christians" have shown him false versions of the trinity. i made sure he knew that he was not a christian, he was not born again, and that he woorshipped another Jesus, and another God. he didn't totally like that. i gave him a tract and left him with the way of the master website, i pray he will be saved. to be continued...
great websites Hi Guys, i have just got back from a small gathering of christians here in the UK. We gathered in a city called Manchester. We were there to meet in person for the first time. we are all members of the evangelistic organisation, Th Great News Network. as seed sowers we share the gospel regularly. we hand out tracts, talk to people one to one, and open air preach. We do this because God commands his followers to preach the gospel by all biblical means. we are commanded to preach the gospel to all nations. It is important to preach the true gospel and not a false gospel because God knows best, we don't want people coming to Jesus for the wrong reasons. We came, hopefully because we realised we had a bad record, and a bad heart before a good God. We saw that we had sinned against Go, we had broken his ten commandments (1 john3:4), which is sin. we would therefore be guilty on judgment day, and end up in hell. God did not want this to happen so he made a way for us to be saved, we broke the law, Jesus paid our fine. The world is lost, in there sins, cut off from God, waiting to be judged, found guilty, and sentenced to hell. We are here to learn the way to reach them. These two messages will change your life, if you dare to be diiferent than the 98% of the church that watches those around them go to hell in silence. I know you want to speak up for christ. God bless you as you continue to learn how to preach the gospel biblically, the way Jesus did. www.wayofthemaster.com www.wayofthemasterradio.com www.thegreatnews.com www.livingwaters.com
reaching the lost Hi Guys, i am a simple christian who God is using to glorify his name by obeying him. I do this by denying myself taking up my cross and following him daily. I love to worship God as you all do too, and i find no better way than to reach out to those that are lost outside of christ, and to witness to them biblically the way Jesus did. We know that all those that are not christians are lost, heading to hell for ever. This is because they have sinned against God (1 john 3:4) This horrifies me, as it does you, i trust. Lets be honest evangelism does not come naturally or easily to us. But like all things that are important in this life we need to learn how to do them properly. We didn't give up trying to walk because it was diificult, no we persevered until we had perfected the ability to walk. The same is true of evangelism. We know that we are commanded to preach the gospel, not requested. We have been blessed with the great commission, matthew 28, mark 16:15. Like me you may need some help learning how to do this, i have found the following website a phenomenal blessing in sharing my faith. God will see even your feet as beautiful as you preach the gospel. Be a part of seeing our nations transformed for christ. As the bible says how will they believe unless someone preaches to them, and how will someone preach to them unless they are sent. You all have a mission field, all those lost people you meet. Pray, train, then go. God bless. www.wayofthemaster.com www.thegreatnews.com www.wayofthemasterradio.com
