Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Jesus spoke these words just before he was taken up to heaven. Some call this “The Great Commission” When Jesus spoke these words they were meant for all who believed and would believe. Does this mean we are all to become preachers? Well in a way, Yes! In the sense that we need to be a shining light for those who live in darkness. We do not became this by being silent. And we do not have to stand on a pulpit to be heard. We simply need to share our testimonies with people or as some call it our “life song.” What is our life song? It is our story, our testimony of how Jesus came into our lives and changed us, healed us from the sickness of sin and made us blameless. I believe God puts people into our lives that may have gone through or going through the same kind of things we went through before and after we come to know him. Sometimes we get caught up in quoting scripture and forget that all we really need to do is share what He has done for us, and what He has done for them. We forget to let the gift He left for us “The Holy Spirit” do our talking for us. We forget about “The Power” that is ours to show. More than anything we forget what Jesus asked us to do for him. Let your light shine unto the world, do not be ashamed, Be a bold witness to the power, the hope, and the love, that God showed when He have his Son to die on the cross in our place for our sins.
