“Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God; trust also in me.”
John 14:1

Andrea stewed over a mounting pile of pressures. Just-bought groceries for tomorrow’s dinner guest sprawled across every bit of counter space. Buried under them was a Sunday school lesson to be prepared. A week’s worth of laundry spilled out of the laundry room into the kitchen, and an upsetting letter from a faraway friend in need lay teetering on the edge of the sink.

In the midst of this turmoil, Steven’s Sunday school teacher called. “We’ll be leaving for the carnival about noon. If Stephen didn’t bring home his permission slip, just write the usual information on a slip of paper and send it along with him.

Andrea heard the doorbell ring, followed by an awful commotion. Rushing to the living room, she found two little girls waving pink slips of paper at her crying son. “What’s the matter?” she asked as she gently put her arms around him.

“I can’t go!” he wailed. “I don’t have one of those pink papers!”

“Oh, yes, you do. Only yours happens to be white,” she said as she dried his tears, stuffed the paper in his pocket, and sent him out the door.

Back in the kitchen Andrea wondered, Hasn’t he been my child long enough to know I’d have a solution?

Suddenly a tiny smile crept across her face as she surveyed the chaos around her- and she could almost hear her Heavenly Father say, “Haven’t you been My child long enough to know that I have it taken care of?”

Trust God where you cannot trace him.
Do not try to penetrate the cloud he brings over you;
rather look to the bow that is on it.
The mystery is God’s; the promise is yours.

The question for today is I hope with God’s Help to improve in?
