The Code
Posted On: 06/06/2006 17:48:25
I notice a lot of controversy on the subject of Dan Brown's "The DaVinci Code".

I am a struggling Christian, but nevertheless Christian, still I don't really see the purpose of all the "heat" Christians are giving this book/movie/author. It is, after all, fiction. And just because you may have seen it or read it, doesn't necessarily mean you BELIEVE it.

It definitely gives you something to think about, but it doesn't have to change your views on your faith.

Who knows? I definitely don't. So let me know what you think, if you like. Just don't be condescending and please be nice.

you make a good point
the problem is a LOT of people have been lead completely astray with this
i struggle and deal with things a lot
and i have this debate with people a lot
i took a stand not to see the movie
i read the book
and while it was entertaining
in my opinion it was not greatly written
and therefore i became turned off to it
and to Dan Browns other novels
the other problem with the "stir" around "the code"
is that it totally knocks our Saviour
and it classifies him as man
which he is NOT

while most known it to be fiction the authors thoughts on the subject matter
are that the events in "the code" actually did happen

it is a worthwhile read though
if for no other purpose than to "know thy enemy"
haha

blessings love and peace
