crazy
Posted On 10/09/2006 17:51:04
This morning I had a near-death experience. Well, maybe it wasnt that bad, but it was scary nonetheless. K, so we were goin to school, bout 7. We were goin about 70 and there was a sherriff in front of us who was stopping to go over to the other side of the road where 2 cars were pulled over. Unfortunately, there wasnt enough time for us to stop. So we were forced to go into the ditch. At a high rate of speed. With a big fence. It was kinda surreal. Like slow motion. And we finally come to a stop. And the sherriff and the other guy come runnin across the road into the ditch askin if we were ok. Another guy with a big truck stopped, I guess cuz there were cars all over the place on both sides of the road. They pull us out of the ditch cuz we were pretty well stuck. And then we sit on the side of the road for a while cuz the rope they used got stuck on the a frame. Grr... But we finally got to leave. and after all that, we still made it to school on time! It could have been lots worse cuz we had just made it to the part of the road where the ditch wasnt really really deep. So, God was protecting us. I was about a foot away from the fence when we stopped. In fact, when the guys came over, they thought we had hit the fence. But we're good. But I think we might have done something to the car. It was shakin really bad for a while and then stopped. But it started doin it again later. idk, hope not (i wasnt driving by the way)

Wyoming State Police Story - Gotta love it.

In most of the northern states, there is a policy of checking on any stalled vehicle on the highway when the temperatures drop down to single digits or below.

About 3 AM, one very cold morning, a state police officer responded to a call there was a car off the shoulder of the road outside Casper. He located the car, stuck in deep snow, and with the engine still running. Pulling in behind the car with his emergency lights on, the officer walked to the driver's door to find an older man passed out behind the wheel with a nearly empty vodka bottle on the seat beside him.

The driver came awake when the officer tapped on the window. Seeing the rotating lights in his rearview mirror, and the state policeman standing next to his car, the man panicked. He jerked the gearshift into 'drive' and hit the gas. The car's speedometer was showing 20-30-40 and then 50 mph, but it was still stuck in the snow, wheels spinning.

The policeman, having a sense of humor, began running in place next to the speeding, but still stationary car. The driver was totally freaked, thinking the officer was actually keeping up with him. This goes on for about 30 seconds, then the officer yelled at the man to 'Pull over!' The man obeyed, turned his wheel and stopped the engine.

Needless to say, the man from Casper was arrested, and is probably still shaking his head over the state patrolman who could run 50 miles per hour.

Who says policemen don't have a sense of humor?

A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born? The father answers, "Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said: You got Male!"

failure
Posted On 09/27/2006 07:26:14
I feel like a failure. I just withdrew from History and Humanities. There is no way I could do all the work for 4 classes. I had a book review due Friday in history, and next week in humanities we were going to start book reports. And we are going to be writing papers in english constantly. And anatomy requires lots of studying and going to the lab on your own time. I have to make an A in anatomy. And I def couldnt do that if I was taking 3 other classes. The anatomy tutorr told me last week that I was crazy for doing that. She said that while taking anatomy you shouldnt take anything else. And if you did, it should only be medical terminology. So, now I only have college on Tues and Thurs. I know I had good reasons for dropping the classes, but I feel like a quitter. I hate quitting. hmm... Im kinda depressed now.

only a week
Posted On 09/27/2006 07:25:42
I am once again car-less, and I only had the car for a week. I took it in today because they had said this thing was wrong with it. To make it short, they would have to take apart the whole transmission to fix it. $1000-$1200. I dont have that to spend. So... onto plan b. I'll let you know when I figure out what that is.

It's alomst time for college!

Yay! Only one more week, Im so excited about starting! I have to go back up there tomorrow with Jamie so we can pay for her classes and buy her books. We both need to get our IDs, and I might get some more stuff from the bookstore. So, yesterday was Becca's birthday. She's a teenager now, which is kinda scary. My mom brought her over, so at least I got to see her. Thursday is Arthur's birthday, but I won't get to see him becasue he'll be in Arizona again getting his truck. Only 2 weeks til he leaves. Im so sad... Well, hopefully time will pass quickly til I get to see him again. Well, I guess thats it for now.

This summer I've...

Posted On 08/19/2006 00:53:06
I saw this and thought it was good, especially since I can relate right now, so I thought I'd share.

THERE COMES A POINT IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU REALIZE WHO MATTERS, WHO NEVER DID, WHO WON'T ANYMORE & WHO ALWAYS WILL. SO DONT WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE FROM YOUR PAST, THERE'S A REASON WHY THEY DIDN'T MAKE IT TO YOUR FUTURE AND WHY THEY'RE NOT IN YOUR PRESENT. SO JUST SMILE, MOVE ON, AND BE HAPPY!
